The new generation Penn Pals creeping bentgrasses were developed by Dr. Joe Duich from plant selections from Augusta, Georgia. Selections were from main course greens showing dense, upright growth, close cutting height, very fine leaf texture and minimal spiking under high heat and humidity.

As a result, the new Penn A series produces a very dense tillered, upright growing, consistently fast, virtually grainless putting green turf that will thrive at a close cutting height. The new Penn Pals are sure to please the most critical superintendent - a putting surface golfers love.

The new Penn Pals have improved resistance to dollar spot, plus other heat and humidity related stresses. The new Penn Pals are uniform and stable cultivars that will persist and resist Poa annua across a wide climatological range.
