Five Things from Tee-2-Green at the 2023 GCSAA Show

From new products to expert consultations, we’ve got a full show coming up!

Like a statement hole on a legendary golf course (#7 at Pebble Beach, #17 at TPC Sawgrass, or so many more) the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show is a highlight of the year, and a can’t-miss event for golf industry professionals. This year it’s back in Orlando, and Tee-2-Green will be there with a full slate of featured products and ways for you to get connected.

If you’re planning to attend and looking for things to check out, here are 5 reasons why you should visit us at the Tee-2-Green booth on the show floor:

Get Your First Look at Prestige

Prestige is a brand new premium blend from Tee-2-Green, and you’ll be among the first to see it and talk to our team about it at the show. This new product is a blend of Tee-2-Green’s highest performing bentgrasses, a combination of Pure Distinction and Pure Select.

Prestige is a durable formula made to withstand various extreme climate elements. It provides tour-quality greens, collars and approaches on a day-in and day-out basis, even in the harshest climates.. Prestige Premium can be seeded in a new green or interseeded for a dense, up-right, and aggressive growth.

Have an A+ Experience

Our new A+ blend will provide adaptability to harsh weather conditions and disease pressure that typical bentgrasses cannot handle. It is extremely quick to germinate even in cold climates, while its aggressive tillering provides faster establishment and grow-in.

It’s an ideal option for year-round performance in difficult environments, and can be used everywhere from tees to greens to fairways.

See What PC2.0 is All About

Now that the legendary Penncross bentgrass is out of production, PC2.0 takes center stage as the next generation of this time-proven bentgrass and pays homage to the past while looking toward the future.

Its dense, upright and aggressive growth habit competes exceptionally well against Poa annua, while displaying a beautiful medium-green color and very fine leaf texture.

Watch Colleges Battle it Out in the “Seeds of Fortune” Trivia Game

One of the best kept secrets of the GCSAA show is the Seeds of Fortune contest, where individual college students and college teams swing by the booth and attempt to answer trivia questions about agronomy and the golf industry. Usually, there’s a tie for first that needs to be broken by a sudden death battle on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 PM.

The winning team gets a pizza party and meeting with Tee-2-Green agronomy expert, Lew Sharp, and of course, bragging rights for a whole year.

Get to Know Lew and the Team

Speaking of Lew Sharp, he will be at the show and would love to get to know you and talk about what you’ve got going on in the industry and in your role at your course specifically. Lew has consulted with hundreds of golf courses around the world on builds and renovations, and he and his team have a wealth of knowledge to help you tackle your next project, big or small.

To learn more about Lew, visit his page on the Tee-2-Green site here.

Tee-2-Green has a prime, centrally located booth at the GCSAA show (booth #1965), so we hope to see you at the show!

Keeping up with Germ…

Our customers often ask how long creeping bentgrass seed will last or hold its germ. Our advice is to buy what you need for a regular season and not worry if you end up with

Protecting Turf from Winter-Time Blues

Winter turfgrass diseases are often associated with melting snow or cold, wet periods. Diseases can attack bluegrasses, fescues, and ryegrasses, but bentgrasses are most susceptible. Two diseases, Grey Snow Mold and Pink Snow Mold, may
